LandIS, or the Land Information System is one of the offerings of the Institute home page. Incorporating the National Soil Resources Institute, CSAI is the largest UK national and international centre for research and development, consultancy and training in soils and their interaction with the atmosphere, land use, geology and water resources. CSAI is a well-established centre within the Cranfield School of Applied Science, leading Cranfield's research on soil and food science. The LandIS project seeks to draw upon this collective wealth of unique environmental information to develop applied risk assessments for pesticide fate and behaviour studies as well as other threats expressed at the catchment scale.
Cranfield University has been awarded the ISO 14001 environmental management system standard.
